Overview

Dex: Your Trainer's Companion is a fan-made Pokémon reference app. Your privacy is straightforward to explain: we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you.

Data we do not collect

• No accounts, sign-ins, or email addresses
• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
• No advertising SDKs or ad identifiers
• No crash reporting or diagnostics sent anywhere
• No location data
• No payment or financial information

Data stored on your device

The App saves a small amount of data locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Your saved favourite Pokémon
• Your saved team rosters and build names
• A local cache of Pokémon data for offline use
• The timestamp of your last data sync

You can delete all of this data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

Third-party data sources

The App fetches Pokémon data from two public, open sources. When it does so, only a Pokémon identifier (e.g. a name or number) is sent — no personal information of any kind.

PokéAPI

A free, open Pokémon data API at pokeapi.co. No personal data is included in requests. See their documentation for details.

Pokémon Showdown

Used only to load Pokémon sprite images from play.pokemonshowdown.com. No personal data is sent.

Children's privacy

Because we collect no data whatsoever, the App is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. We will not make changes that affect data handling without updating this page.
